Control model access
Allow or disable model choices for individual workspace members.
Open Settings → Governance → Model access to review the models a teammate may use. The page is for workspace model policy; provider credentials are configured under Integrations.
Review a member's choices
- Select a teammate.
- Search by model or provider to narrow the list.
- Inspect each model's Allowed or Disabled state.
- Change the switch when your role permits it and wait for the save result.
A restriction applies to the selected teammate and provider/model combination. Review the selected person before editing several choices. An older restricted model may remain visible in the policy list even when it is no longer a current catalog choice.
Separate policy from credentials
Allowing a model does not connect its provider account, replenish provider limits, or grant repository access. Conversely, a connected provider can have models disabled for a member.
When a model is unavailable, check the restriction, the provider connection, and the error in the session picker. Use ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor for provider setup.
Verify the intended result
Open the model picker as part of the affected workflow and inspect the available choices. Do not assume a policy edit replaces a turn already executing with another model.
Use model usage to understand which models the team uses. Model restrictions are access controls, not a promise of a particular usage budget or quality outcome.
For selection details, see Choose a model. If the controls are unavailable, ask a workspace owner or admin to review the policy.
