Preview apps and annotate them

Open a running app, inspect its layout, and send visual feedback.

A session preview opens an app running in the session environment. Ask the agent to start the app and register its preview if no preview appears. Registering a URL alone does not prove the app server is healthy.

A point in the preview becomes context
Read the visual explanation

Select a point in the preview, describe the change, and send the annotation with your message. The agent receives the point and viewport context.

Open and size a preview

Open the preview in the session inspector. Select the registered app or route you want to inspect. Use the Desktop or Responsive mode controls when offered, and widen the inspector when you need more space.

A narrow preview pane can trigger a mobile layout even when the sandbox desktop is wide. Zoom changes how the preview fits; it does not necessarily change the app's layout viewport. Compare the mode and viewport before diagnosing a responsive bug.

Annotate a point

  1. Enter the preview's annotation mode.
  2. Select the point relevant to the feedback.
  3. Add a clear description in the chat draft, such as “Align this button with the right edge of the form.”
  4. Review the draft and send it.

Annotations include a viewport point and registration context. They do not give Uno direct access to arbitrary cross-origin page content. Describe the expected behavior in words, especially if the problem changes after scrolling or navigation.

Focus on the app

Use focus mode to give the preview more of the window while keeping chat available. Your composer draft remains with the session as you move between the inspector and focus view. Review the draft before sending feedback.

Refresh or recover

Refresh access if the preview link expires. If the environment is asleep, use its wake action and wait for it to resume. Waking the machine does not necessarily restart an app server; ask the agent to check and restart the app when the page still fails.
