Choose a machine

Understand the machine profile used for new sessions and how to request a change.

The workspace's machine profile determines the resources available to new sandbox sessions. Open the workspace settings section labeled Machine to inspect size, CPU, memory, disk, and the compute-rate multiplier.

Review the current profile

Use the displayed resource values rather than assuming every provider has the same sizes. A larger machine can help work that needs more memory or compute, but it can also contribute more sandbox usage.

The customer machine card is read-only. When it says the size can be changed, contact Uno support to request the change; platform administrators apply it. Do not expect a self-service size selector on this card.

Understand when changes apply

New sessions start on the configured machine. Existing sessions keep the size they started with. Changing the workspace's profile does not resize every active machine.

If a task repeatedly runs out of memory, preserve the session link and the command or step that failed. Ask for a machine review with that evidence. A stalled model request or missing credential is not evidence that the machine needs more CPU.

Separate machine size from startup readiness

Provider, snapshot readiness, and available warm capacity affect how a session starts. Warm capacity is prepared infrastructure, not proof that the task itself has begun. Customers should inspect preparation progress rather than manage infrastructure internals.

Use snapshots and rebuilds for setup readiness and usage and limits for the cost and capacity view. For an interruption, read recovery before replacing the session.
