Keyboard shortcuts and input
Use the settings palette, session controls, attachments, and dictation.
Use the workspace menu's Shortcuts submenu to see the current bindings. On Apple platforms use Command; on other platforms use Ctrl.
| Action | Apple | Other platforms | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search settings | Command + K | Ctrl + K | Workspace |
| Toggle sidebar | Command + B | Ctrl + B | Workspace |
| Session actions | Command + 9 | Ctrl + 9 | Open session |
| Sandbox details | Command + 0 | Ctrl + 0 | Open session |
The settings palette searches page names and related keywords. Select a result to open the setting rather than searching through every sidebar group.
Compose a message
Use Enter to send and Shift + Enter for a new line in the normal message composer. Review attachments and upload state before sending. Supported text files are inserted into the message and share its character limit.
In clarification questions, number keys can select offered choices and Enter advances the questionnaire where indicated. Use a custom answer when none of the choices is accurate. See steering and questions.
Dictate when available
If the composer offers dictation, start it and grant microphone access through your browser. Stop recording to insert the transcript, review it, and then send. Stopping dictation is different from sending the message.
Enter while recording stops and transcribes; the next Enter can send the reviewed text. The Send action while recording can stop and send in one action. Cancel discards the recording. Wait while transcription is in progress.
Availability depends on browser support, microphone permission, and the active composer. Do not assume voice input is offered on every surface.
Use attachments for screenshots, clips, and files, and session organization for rename and archive actions.
