Approve a specification and start work

Resolve readiness requirements, approve the agreed revision, and follow delivery.

Approval is a decision to build the current revision. Review the specification's acceptance criteria and delivery breakdown before using Approve and start work.

Approval fixes the agreed revision

Feedback produces a revised draft. Approving that revision starts materializing linked work; changes to an approved outcome belong in follow-up work.

Check readiness

Open the spec and read its approval requirements. Resolve missing source context, incomplete decisions, or invalid delivery items shown by the page. Confirm that the repositories and scope match the outcome you intend to fund and review.

If the draft needs changes, choose Request changes and explain the specific correction. Review the revised document before approving; a change request does not itself produce an approved result.

Approve and follow materialization

Choose Approve and start work when the revision is ready and your role permits the action. Approval creates the task set and starts eligible unblocked work. The page can show a materializing or starting state while the linked work is being created.

Wait for the result and follow the generated task and session links. Avoid clicking repeatedly or creating an equivalent task while materialization is still in progress. If it reports an error, inspect the existing linked work before retrying.

Verify delivery against the spec

Use the linked tasks to track delivery and the sessions to inspect implementation. Check acceptance evidence against the actual criterion, including checks that failed or could not run. Approval of a document does not prove its implementation has passed acceptance.

The approved revision remains fixed. For a changed requirement after approval, create follow-up work that identifies the new outcome and its relationship to the earlier spec.
